A publication issued by an aircraft manufacturer giving the operating procedures and limitations of the aircraft and its equipment. The manual contains procedures, instructions, and guidance for use by operational personnel to engage in operation of the aircraft. Also called a
flight manual, a
POH (Pilot Operating Handbook), or
Pilot Notes. For an aircraft to be considered airworthy, this document must be on board and easily available to the flight crew.
